Play for Preemies Showcase (GIRLS)(2A Teams RE Lee, Wilson Memorial)

Charlottesville tops Battlefield 65-52 in the Play for Preemies showcase.
 
14-10 Wilson Memorial girls lead William Monroe at the end of the first. Dragons committed a series of turnovers during that frame but big jumper at the buzzer by Sam Brunelle off a nice move to cut into Wilson’s lead.

Cheridan Hatfield and Korinne Baska both with 5 to lead Wilson after a quarter.

Sam Brunelle has 8 for Monroe.

Hornets let 12-point 3Q lead slip away for second loss of the season.

William Monroe’s Sam Brunelle had 39 points and 23 rebounds in win over Wilson Memorial. She scored 29 points of Monroe’s 33 in second half.

Wilson led by Cheridan Hatfield, who scored 18 points and had 10 rebounds on a bum ankle. Sarah Sondrol had 10 points, 10 rebounds. Korinne Baska with 10 points also.

In a battle of two of the top girls basketball teams in Central Virginia, William Monroe stayed undefeated with a 53-48 win over Wilson Memorial in the 'Play For Preemies' tournament at Western Albemarle High School.

In the last game of the Play for Preemies Showcase the Warriors girls basketball team defeated Glen Allen by score of 43-28.
