1.) I think Dale pulls it off…
2.) Glen Allen vs. Springers for the 5C championship.
3.) Dinwiddie vs. Varina for the 4B championship.
4.) Let’s go TeeJay
I agree. Except Dale seems to have slipped a little here when they should be peaking! I saw Manchester in week 2 against HS. They were breaking in their Freshman QB. He looked like he could be special there. Maybe Manchester is hitting their stride? I don't know, their defense has some ???!

guess everybody has conceded Class 3 to Phoebus

I don't think that's the case. I can't speak for @springer76, but I believe he was initially talking about Class 5 in Richmond. The post evolved into the classes with Richmond teams still playing. Class 3A has four 757 teams left and I guess one could include 3B participants Goochland (Jefferson District) or Caroline (Battlefield) in the discussion if they chose to. Hopewell and Colonial Heights departures probably played a part in the lack of discussion. To be honest the Class 5 board is generally just Richmond guys discussing Richmond teams and to be exact Highland Springs. I for one wish more Class 5 posters would get involved. Green Run, Maury, Patrick Henry -Roanoke and Stone Bridge all have rock solid teams; however, their fans rarely participate.

Well as a 757 guy and Maury fan I'll say alot of the chatter for the 757 has moved to a FB page and also the way the regions are set up now and scheduling through the season not to much to talk about till the state championship with other regions.🤷🏿‍♂️

@Agibbs757 I can't speak for everybody, but I would like to hear about Maury and Green Run. Do you think the 757 can win the title this year?

I believe it! I like the Minter kid a lot. I think Dale will have more horses in the end. Can never ever count out a Coach Hall team though.

I like Glen Allen to get another win this week. They’re the best of the 3 remaining teams in the region, not named Highland Springs.

I think Maury and GR have a chance I mean once you get to the championship game it's all up from there. Now the biggest key for any team especially against HS is can you stop the run with that bigger line but Maury and GR have the athletes to play in the pass game but run is what has me thinking.

I've been become a huge fan of Coach Hall. I definitely thought after they had that insane state title team they would go back to being a regular good but not great team but nope. They just keep on reloading even with all the transfer mess.

People try to call his teams the Chesterfield All Stars but he lost a lot this year and was still able to bounce back. Shows just how great of a coach he is. He runs a clean program and those guys don’t back down from anyone. Believe it or not, had they not came down with COVID during the spring season, they would’ve won the 5A state championship. I believe it and stand on it. They beat up on Herm and would’ve done the same to the Springers. They were special.

You sound delusional with what ifs and what could've happened. It was quite unfortunate that the kids had Covid and didn't get the opportunity to play the game but saying they would have beat up on HSHS is somewhat delusional, regardless of how special you thought the program was. Just saying when was the last time HSHS lost to Manchester.

Most of you Springer fans get so bent out of shape unless you’re pandered to. Springer76 is the only one of you who’s logical and not on the every post disputing someone because they’re not kissing your tail.

I saw both teams in person that year. Truth is, HS got the luck of the coin flip. Herm and Manchester were both as loaded as Highland Springs. It was a shame that the ‘21 class didn’t get a full year. Deep Run, Glen Allen and Varina were also very very good but not on Herm, HS, or Manchester’s level. My statement stands. Manchester was loaded and their offense was way better than HS’s.

Trust me, I don't take this banter that serious to get bent out of shape. Manchester had a good team that year but none of those teams were that far separated from each other to say Manchester would have beat HSHS down. As I recall that year Manchester got beat 27-6 by Monacan that year. Also, they barely beat Powhatan that year. We had some great players that year, our only question mark was the qb. We shut out a good Maury team and took a stonebridge team to overtime, and it took a great one handed play to beat us in the state championship. That is only reason I replied to his statement.

The Manchester offense “may” have been a TAD better, but HSHS’s defense was Much better Than Manchester’s. I don’t even remember the last time Manchester beat HSHS. We’ll give’m another shot next year, but I like HSHS’s chances next year too.

Yeah if we compare scores, we’d be beating a dead horse. HS barely beat Deep Run who almost lost to Tucker 🥴. Herm beat Glen Allen by a field goal and GA led HS 9-0 at halftime. Varina didn’t pass the 50 yard line on Herm, but had a score or two called back against HS that ended up being the deciding factor. It was a crazy season and I’m a huge believer in match ups over what’s on paper. There was no separation in those 3 teams in Herm, Manchester and Springs. I never said that Manchester would’ve blown HS out, but they were head and shoulders better than anyone HS played that year (with the exception of Stone Bridge) and Manchester had enough offense to beat Highland Springs and Stone Bridge.

I’m not trying to play the what if game, I’m just giving Coach Hall his flowers. It’s unfortunate that Manchester didn’t get a chance to play HS after they beat that very good Herm team the way they did.

Last year, HS didn't have the cohesiveness to be dominant. They got better at seasons end and I do believe we got robbed at Stone Bridge with those 2 BS celebration penalties after scoring tds!!! 2020 had a monster team and again lacked cohesiveness!
This HSHS is a completely different animal! I don't think anybody in Virginia would beat the #1 team this year!!!

A cool rendition of HSHS's of the fight song! https://fb.watch/gPymkwEN-z/

The Green Run/ Kempsville game could be interesting. Could be a battle.
