The dedication of Dr. Moore to Riverheads is of course well-documented. For those of you who don't know the specifics, he is the ONLY team doctor that Riverheads has ever had, and the school opened in 1962, so do the math on that one.

But Mrs. Moore was a dedicated volunteer in her own right, and was much more than just "the doctor's wife." Since I don't know all her contributions to the school, maybe someone with more inside connections can come on and provide that information.

At any rate, they were a wonderful family addition to the RHS community and some if not all of their five children (only four maybe?) were athletes that excelled also. I am sure that someone will make sure that her memory is properly honored at this week's game.

Prayers and condolences from the Appomattox community.

One of the nicest men you will ever meet as well, and her as well. Prayers for his family, friends, community.

If I recall correctly, I believe he told me recently he had only missed one Riverheads game in their history (home and away).

Thoughts and prayers for the Moore family and the Riverheads Community. Guns you are correct on the one game missed and that was when his dad passed away back in the 1970's.

Dr Moore and his wife were also instrumental in the foundation of the local youth football league. Their influence and leadership have made an impact on generations of people in the community. Prayers for the entire Moore family
