Class 4
Tuscarora 45, Lake Taylor 28

Class 3

Weather is gonna be a HUGE factor in all the games. Wind & steady rain are expected at all the games.

South County 14 OSmith 7
Stonebridge 28 Maury 14
Tusky 20 LTaylor 14
LB 27 Hopewell 21
Appy 28 SD 21
River 21 Galax 7

power running games will be key over passing games! Speed will be neutralized by the wet conditions. The boys in the trenches will get to show off!

I didn’t take weather heavily into account when I made my predictions; it did cross my mind. The only venue for which I checked the weather (using Accuweather) before predicting the scores was Lynchburg. It said the same then as it does now - a chance of a shower in the morning, but after noon, cloudy with 25% chance of precipitation, winds 5 to 7 mph.

Having artificial turf here in Williamsburg at Wanner Stadium (new replacement this year) I can say some rain doesn’t affect the run game or quickness that much but wind is the key element.

Weather won't matter for 1A or 2A, at least, and I'd guess 3A/4A, the storm got pushed in a day early so the field may be a bit wet but it won't be actively raining.

Also shocked everyone is keeping 1A that close.

The early game will face wind and rain. The D6 game will just have a wet field with wind to deal with.
