Riverbend receiver Camden Simmons (5-foot-10, 165) had no trouble getting open and usually made his catches uncontested. He ran great routes and caught every ball with two hands. Simmons already has an offer from Liberty University, but still came to compete. He played quarterback last season, so he didn't post huge receiver numbers. Still, he was 1st team All-Region and 2nd team All-State at All-Purpose in his sophomore season.
Aamir Williams played at La Plata High School in Maryland, but will attend Loudoun Sports Academy this season. Williams was great during the one-on-one drills, and he had two interceptions. He has all the skillsets of a D1 prospect; however, he is still awaiting his first offer. James Madison and Liberty are the two schools showing the most interest.
Linebacker JeJuan Hutchins (5-foot-11, 215) was solid in the drills and had one of the best 40 times for the linebackers. Hutchins started at linebacker for 2-time State champion Benedictine while earning All=State. He finished with 103 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, four sacks and five pass breakups. State title with Benedictine
Cornerback Malachi Mingo (5-foot-9, 165) was one of the better cover corners during the one-on-one drill. He had two interceptions and won most of his reps. He has excellent speed and man-to-man coverage skills. Mingo played for VISAA State champion Benedictine last season.
Linebacker Levi Chapman (6-foot-0, 205) was one of the prospects who received an offer after the Jamey Chadwell camp at Liberty University. Chapman (2027) plays at Kings Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida. In addition to Liberty University, Chapman has offers from Florida Atlantic, Georgia State, and Western Kentucky. He is receiving interest from Florida and Auburn.
Liberty Christian has been an Offensive Lineman factory over the last three seasons, including 5-star Zach Rice and 4-star Easton Ware, who is at Clemson. Other star-rated linemen include Grant Jones, Braxton Pfaff, and Logan Blake. The Jamey Chadwell camp had three linemen who should be starters this year.
Junior Jaxon Manning (6-foot-4, 285) was the best lineman I watched during the drills and the one-on-one matchups. He won a strength tug-of-war drill, and he did not allow a pass rusher to get by him. Manning should be on the recruiting boards of D1 schools, and he has interest from Virginia Tech, NC State, Liberty, and Virginia.
I wrote down the camp number for Davis Wydra, a junior who competed during all phases of the lineman drills. Wydra (6-foot-6, 275) has the size that fits the mold of past LCA linemen. He is an incoming transfer player who played at Kellam High School last season. He should flourish with his new teammates and continue to gather D1 interest.
I believe 2027 Aiden Wilson (6-foot-5, 303) projects as a D1 prospect and is one to keep an eye on. Wilson plays for Croatan High School in North Carolina.
Huguenot had two standouts, and both worked out on the offensive side of the ball. Athlete Jabari Cox (5-foot-10, 165) played both receiver and defensive back for the Falcons. He had only eight receptions in a crowded receiver room but made 20 tackles with three pass defended, and a pick on defense. Athlete Cairee Smith (5-foot-9, 180) worked out at Running Back and Defensive Back at the camp. Smith, a 2028 prospect, scored a touchdown as a freshman during a game I watched last season. He says he will probably be recruited as a defensive back.
There were a lot of quarterbacks at the camp (more than 25) encompassing all grad years. The quarterbacks performed one of the camps best drills where they had to avoid pressure then throw into a receiving net.
Mills Godwin junior Luke Roberts (5-foot-10, 178) is a dual-threat quarterback who displayed his athleticism with solid combine scores. Roberts had 348 yards passing, 401 yards rushing and 135 yards receiving as a sophomore.
E.C Glass quarterback Jhalil Holloway (6-foot-2, 203) led the Hilltoppers in rushing as a sophomore while splitting quarterback duties. He had 204 yards rushing and 283 yards passing. He should assume full time quarterback duties in 2025.
Senior Noah Moss (6-foot-1, 227) played at Central high School in Woodstock and he had 721 yards passing with 10 touchdown passes as a junior.
One of the prospects i thought might get an offer was senior Tight End Paxton Hobbs (6-foot-4, 230) who stood with his catches during the one-on-one drills. Hobbs attends Alexander High School in Georgia and has offers from South Alabama, Bryant, Ut Chattanooga, and West Georgia.
Junior Brady Collins (6-foot-1, 275) has started at all interior line positions for the Bulldogs. Last year, he started at left guard, earning 2nd team All-Region honors. This year, Collins could take over the starting Center position. He has interests from Duke, North Carolina, Old Dominion, and Norfolk State.
Tight End Andrew Shin (6-foot-4, 245) made contested receptions and used his size to his advantage. Shin plays at Clarksburg High School in Maryland, and he had three receiving touchdowns among his five receptions. He played tight end as a sophomore and offensive line as a junior. He will move back to tight end for his senior year. While his best plays came as a blocking tight end, Shin showed during the drills that he has good hands to contribute in the passing game.
