My top prospect at the Virginia Union Satellite camp was Lake Taylor 2026 standout Magerald Clark (5-foot-11, 165). He was one of the prospects who received an offer from Virginia Union after the camp. Clark is a ball-hawk who made 10 interceptions as a junior earning 1st team All-State Defensive Back. He has D1 offers from James Madison, N.C State, East Carolina, Old Dominion, Hampton and Norfolk State.

The other prospect receiving an offer after the camp was Indian River defensive lineman Corey Sanderlin (6-foot-0, 300). The All-State lineman, who helped Commodores of Maury win a state title in 2023, was a cog up front for Braves in 2024. Sanderlin had one of the faster 40-yard dash times for the lineman. He was recently selected Overall Camp MVP at the YouAreAthlete camp in Baltimore. Old Dominion has also expressed interests in Sanderlin.

Norview receiver Amari Martin (6-foot-5, 208) earned a camp invite to the Virginia Union Prospect Camp a few days later in Richmond. Martin combines intriguing size and athleticism in a package that just needs more seasoning. Martin runs track and also played for the Pilots basketball team. He has interests from North Carolina A&T, Norfolk State and Hampton.

Nansemond River rising junior Calvin Holloway (6-foot-0, 186) plays the rare combination of wide receiver and defensive end. On offense, Holloway had 29 catches for 463 yards and two scores, On defense, he had eight sacks, 14 tackles for loss and 36 tackles. At the VUU camp, Holloway worked out at receiver, and he was one of the best at catching the deep post throws.

Lake Taylor 2026 Dominic Batchler-Clanton is listed as a tight end and he received an offer from Virginia Union after the camp. Batchler-Clanton made some acrobatic catches, and he was one of the top prospects. In addition to Virginia Union, Batchler-Clanton has interests from Christopher Newport and Bridgewater.

Lake Taylor rising senior Zion Knight (6-foot-1, 300) can play any of the offensive line positions but projects as an interior lineman. He was one of the top pass blockers at the camp. In addition to Virginia Union, Knight has interest from William & Mary and North Carolina Central.

Indian River 2027 Center Raymond Pusey (6-foot-1, 250) drew the interests of the Virginia Union staff. He worked out at center and he won every head-to-head battle I watched. I was also given his name by the coaching staff. Pusey is a rising junior who has two excellent line coaches in Head Coach Brandon Carr and assistant D.J Dinsmoor. This is the 2nd time I have watched Pusey this Spring and he has been a standout both times.

I had my eye on Landstown receiver Cameron Chacon (6-foot-0, 170) who made a tremendous catch in the rain towards the end of camp. Chacon reminded me that we met at another rain filled camp a few years ago. Chacon 23 catches for 300 yards last season and says he has interest from Hampton, Villanova and Howard.

Running back Keon Johnson (5-foot-9, 205) made a couple of downfield catches that drew my attention. He ran for over 900 yards and is one of the Titans strongest players with a 585 squat.

Lake Taylor 2026 Edge Casaun Hesson (6-foot-3, 190) worked out at Tight End and Defensive End. He had 21 sacks as a pass rusher for the Titans and 30 sacks. Hesson also competed in wrestling finishing with a 25-4 record.

Green Run 2026 Darion Spence (5-foot-10, 171) was among the top prospects at camp. He plays in the secondary for the Stallions and had had 57 tackles, three pass breakups, three interceptions, and seven tackles for loss. He has no interests but will continue to visit several college camps in June hoping to land an offer.
