Quarterbacks
I spoke with quarterback Lonnie Andrews III (6-foot-0, 180) at the Oscar Smith Showcase in early May and the 2027 prospect has picked up five offers since then. He recently added an offer from Virginia and also had Old Dominion and East Carolina add their names in his hat in the past month. Andres has four Power 4 offers among the dozen listed on Rivals with Virginia, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, and Boston College on the list.
Huguenot rising sophomore Charles Scott Jr. (6-foot-5, 225) probably has the most upside of all the quarterbacks at the UA Next Level Camp. Scott has a dozen offers including Power 4 offers from Florida State, Virginia Tech, SMU, and Marshall. As a freshman, Scott threw for 1075 yards with 13 touchdowns while sharing quarterback duties with a senior starter.
Denbigh 2027 Kevin Parker (6-foot-2, 175) might have been the best athlete in the group. He is a dual-threat quarterback who made 2nd Team All-Region at quarterback. His 13 D1 offers are headlined by Duke, North Carolina, Wake Forest, and Maryland. Parker was selected 2nd Team All-State in Basketball and has one offer. However, he skipped the AAU Spring season to focus on football.
Running Backs
I noticed only three running backs from Virginia on the initial Under Amour registration roster but there were several running backs with Virginia ties.
I like what 2027 John Paul the Great running back Ar'mand Stevens (5-foot-11, 190) showed during the field competition. He has great hands and he made it difficult for the linebackers to contain him. Stevens had 1265 yards rushing with seven touchdowns on a 165 carries as a sophomore. His offers include Bryant, Central Florida, Georgia State, Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State.
Rising junior TayShawn Branche (5-foot-11, 190) led State champion Maury led the Commodores with 968 yards rushing on 77 carries with 16 rushing touchdowns. He has offers from Syracuse, Appalachian State, Toledo, Charlotte and East Carolina.
Two running backs were listed as attending The St James Academy in Virginia for the 2025 season. Rising junior Aveon Cobb (5-foot-8, 165) played at Riverdale Baptist last season and he seemed to be open on every route he ran. Rising senior Taariq Denson had almost 600 yards running for Riverdale Baptist with seven touchdowns.
Wide Receiver
North Stafford 2027 athlete Kenaz Sullivan (6-foot-0, 184) won the Wide Receiver MVP at the UA Camp. Sullivan ran a 4.56 in the 40-yard dash and had a 9.98 broad jump which translated into great one-on-one work. He had 33 receptions for 676 yards and seven touchdowns as a sophomore. He added 61 tackles, three interceptions and nine pass breakups on defense. He has offers from Florida State, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Wake Forest, Virginia, and Maryland among his 15 offers.
There doesn't seem to be a ball that Huguenot 2027 Iveon Lewis (6-foot-2, 190) can't get to. He turned contested balls into downfield catches. His offer list is stacked with Power 4 schools including Tennessee, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Indiana, Penn State, South Carolina, West Virginia, Wisconsin, among others.
Kings Fork receiver Anthony Henderson Jr is the #3 rated Virginia player in the Rivals 2027 class. He has made All-State in his 1st two years of playing High School football. Henderson played at Class 2 Bruton and will face stiffer competition as he moves to Class 5 kings Fork. Henderson has offers from Virginia Tech, Penn State, Maryland, Indiana, Syracuse, UNLV and Duke.
Camarion Plunkett (6-foot-0) attends Martinsville High School and he received an offer from Maryland the next day following the Baltimore camp. Plunkett also has offers from Purdue and Virginia Tech.
