Loudoun County Showcase Prospects offense
Offensive Lineman
Showcases are great to give college coaches a chance to see prospects who may not be on their radar. One player who did just that was Heritage (Leesburg) lineman Bryce Madu (6-foot-2, 280). The 2026 prospect was not only the best Offensive Lineman, but he received the overall camp Offensive MVP. As a junior, Madu was a 2nd team All-Region Offensive Line selection for Heritage. Although he did not receive an offer, Madu says he spoke to several schools after the event. Madu throws the shot put for the track team and he has a 3.43 GPA.
Independence Offensive Tackle Kellen Patterson (6-foot-6, 250) had a strong showing during the one-on-one's. He was quick to get into his stance and held his block effectively. At 6-foot-6, he has the build to add more mass. His older brother Griffin committed to Tennessee Tech last month.
Woodgrove interior lineman Andrew Olejer (6-foot-3, 260) could use more girth, but he is a good size for the D3 schools showing interests. Olejer has a 4.42 GPA so finding a school should not be a problem.
Two quarterbacks were singled out by the quarterbacks' coach.
Quarterbacks
Rising senior Will Shields (6-foot-1, 175) from Centreville High School Shields says he spoke to William & Mary, Towson, Holy Cross, Elon, Maine and VMI. As a junior, Shields completed 126 of 243 passes for 1624 yards and nine touchdown passes. A 2-year starter, he threw for over 1000 yards as a sophomore. Shields also plays Lacrosse where he was 1st team all Concorde District.
John Champe 2026 QB Dominic Plush (6-foot-2) was the backup quarterback but still passed for 1031 yards and nine touchdowns. Plush says he went on visits to Tarleton State and Howard. At the Loudoun County Showcase, Plush was asked to talk to Maine, Elon, and Ferrum. He's been in contact with Campbell, VMI, and North Dakota State.
Briar Woods quarterback Brooks Randolph (6-foot-5, 190) was not only one of the tallest quarterbacks, but he was one of the fastest running a 4.64 40-yard dash. Briar Woods made it to the State title game with senior starter and Navy commit Brady Carmical. Randolph should start this season for the Falcons. Randolph has interest from William & Mary.
Rising junior Nick Nassib may have been he tallest quarterback (6-foot-5) at the Loudoun Showcase and he also ran a great 4.6 laser 40. Nassib has been a productive quarterback since day one starting every game as a freshman. He earned 2nd Team All-Potomac District honors by completing 110 of 205 passes for 1712 yards and 18 touchdowns. He followed that up by completing 93 of 161 passes for 1517 yards and 10 touchdowns. Schools showing interest include Sacred Heart, Maine and William & Mary.
Receivers
Flint Hill All-State receiver Ty Harris is a big wideout (6-foot-1, 195) and was recognized as one of the top receivers. Harris completed his junior year with 27 receptions for 447 yards and eight touchdowns. He has offers from Maryland, Hampton, Campbell, Maine and he recently picked up an offer from Richmond. He was also All-Conference in Basketball.
I expect 2027 receiver Desai Ferrell (6-foot-1, 180) to start turning his interests in to offers real soon. He makes acrobatic catches and is physical while running his routes. He finished 3rd on the team (behind two senior starters) in receiving with 19 catches for 230 yards and four touchdowns. At the Loudoun Showcase he received interests from William and Mary, Holy Cross, Villanova, Marist, Ferrum and Elon.
One receiver who impressed me during the drills was Potomac Falls 2027 receiver Elijah Henderson (6-foot-0, 185). He looked sharp with his re-direction and firmly caught every pass in his vicinity. Henderson had 16 receptions as a sophomore for 175 yards and a touchdown. He should start receiving college interests as he refines his technique.
Riverside receiver Eric Harris has filled out since i 1st saw him at the 2024 Loudoun Showcase. Harris had 37 receptions for 440 yards and three touchdowns while also returning kicks. Harris received feelers from Maine, Ferrum, and Davidson.
I watched the drill portion for the receivers and spoke with the camp receiving coach both during and after the event. Rising senior Jackson Graham played at Virginia Academy last year but moved to the Loudoun Sports Academy for his senior year. Rising junior Caidyn Parks (6-foot-0, 160) looks like a player. He had 15 receptions for 254 yards and two touchdowns as a sophomore at Independence.
Paul VI 2026 AJ Sexton (6-foot-0, 185) had an outstanding day catching the football. I did not see him drop a pass even in the early stages when the quarterback/receiver connection was out of whack. Sexton says he also plays linebacker, but he worked out with the receivers.
Running Backs
I was familiar with the top running back prospect Ethan LaFollette (5-foot-8, 170) who sent me his tape for evaluation. LaFollette is a 2-time 1st team All-District running back who gained 1077 yards as a sophomore. He has interests from Villanova, Ferrum and Bridgewater.
This was my second time seeing Rock Ridge Running Back Xavier Smith (5-foot-11, 200) who was a top performer at the Spotlight 39 camp in Stafford. Smith impressed the Camp running back coach earning top praise. He has great size and speed. He is receiving D3 interests.
Tight End
Paul VI Tight End Tanner Wiles (6-foot-4, 210 turned heads with his routes and smooth pass catching skills. Wiles led the Panthers with 20 receptions for 344 yards. Wiles also had a rushing touchdown. As a sophomore, Wiles had 11 receptions including four touchdown receptions and 233 receiving yards. He picked up an offer from Ferrum.
Other linemen who I noticed include Paul VI 2026 Center Andrew Domingas (6-foot-0, 265), 2026 Brent Barlow (6-foot-2, 215) also from Paul VI and Potomac falls rising junior Maxwell Bailey who plays Right Tackle.
