For the last two seasons, the Rappahannock Lady Raiders of the NND and Middlesex Lady Chargers of the Tidewater have gone to war as the new powerhouses in Region A Volleyball.
Middlesex won over Rapp last year in the Region Title Match and Rapp won over Middlesex the season before in a thriller.
Tonight opened the new 2021 Volleyball season with Rappahannock taking their revenge on Middlesex 3-0 (25-14, 25-10, 25-18).
I would think that Mathews and Northumberland will be also in the hunt this season in Region A action. Maybe a new power will emerge...
Whomever prevails from the East, the always really tough champs of Region B (Riverheads) and recently from the West, Auburn, will await most likely. I think the West has won it for the last 3-4 years (Mathews last East winner.)
