With one swing, Princess Anne senior Mike Rector erased a 3-1 lead with a grand slam over the left field fence to give princess Anne a 5-3 win over Tallwood.

The Cavaliers only had four hits but they grouped two of them together in the five run sixth inning. Derek Landreth reached base on an error and Carland Field followed with a single. Evan Baer then loaded the bases after getting hit by a pitch. Chase Patrylak walked with the bases loaded to cut the lead to 3-1. Rector cleared the bases with a deep shot that cleared the fences by a bunch and give Princess Anne a 5-3 lead.

Tallwood pitcher Culver Lamb was on cruise control until the error in the fateful sixth. Up to that point, he had struckout 11 of the 18 batters he had faced and had only allowed one hit. He added two more strikeouts to end the inning to finish with 13.

Andrew Moran pitched two innings to get the win and Landreth struckout 2 of the 3 batters he faced in the seventh for the save. Derek Richardson started and threw five innings.

Tallwood took a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning after Lamb and David Montgomery led off the inning with singles. Triston Thurston singled to bring home a run and Austin French grounded into a fielders choice for the second run. The Lions added a third run on a single by Culver Lamb and a throwing error by the Princes Anne second baseman. Tallwood put two men on with one out in the sixth but they were not able to put a run across the plate.
