Wise hits a 3 at the buzzer to win the regional championship.

The constant for those girls is coaching. Dotson is hands down the best in the state for the girls. They rarely have less..... BUT, he can take less if that be the case and make more of it than anyone else. Chicken Chit in hand and snaps his fingers and Poof.....Chicken Salad.

I certainly am not going to take Martinsville or Floyd for granted. They're another two teams who seem to be there every single year.

I'm calling it, Ridgeview and Wise will meet again. Wise will best Martinsville by double digits. Ridgeview will pick up the W on the rode.

Ant, the girls Friday in Wise the boys in Bristol. I say 25 fans in Wise and 50-60 in Bristol. What's your guess?

That sounds about rite. They need to find more centralized locations.

Oh here we go again... Lol. Complaining about the road trips. The Region D winner has the right to choose in this situation because they in fact won their region. The Dogs were runners up. Win the region, you get to pick. Plain and simple. UVa-Wise and Virginia High both are VHSL approved. I guess I need to whine that VCU isn't a centralized location for the finals. They probably need to move them back this way somewhere. Tech or Salem Civic Center sounds good to me.

In Tennessee, if you win your region, you actually get to play the Sectional (Sweet 16) on your home court, not a neutral court of your choice, your actual home court.

Enjoy the trip and support your team. Or don't make the trip and listen at home or follow on social media. I'll be in Riner on Friday night supporting the Lady Wolfpack. And if, by some way, we win and Martinsville somehow beats Central, I will be in Ridgeway next Tuesday.

Dont know who yanked your chain, I wasnt complaining about any trips to swva. Been that way for ballgames more times than you can count. You win you host. All good with that. My comment was to Ant basically about how poor the Dog fans travel now. Nothing more nothing less. If you want to turn it into more than that, that's on you. Love it out swva way, wish the girls and boys were playing at the same site so we could see both, but there not so we get to choose which one to go to. Nobody is upset about that, it is what it is.

Wasn't complaining on you @hrsepasture1. It was Ant. About both teams playing at the same site deal, Gate City always struggles at UVa-Wise for whatever reason That's why they aren't playing there ... And Wise Central is not going to give up playing an arena which might as well be their home court. (5 minutes from the school) Plus there are two games scheduled Friday at both Virginia High and UVa-Wise, so I guess they didn't want to overdo it with 4 at one site. I wished that Auburn was playing host to more than one game Friday. I think $10 is a little steep for just getting to see one game.
