In no particular order, my best guess on the eight from the East:

Churchland
Kings Fork
Deep Creek
Great Bridge
Smithfield
Hampton
Warwick
Heritage

Heritage has not been very good lately. Warhill was nearly all underclassman and a new coach this year. They would be in my top 8. Churchland & Kings Fork with Deep creek are my top 3.

sort of a scramble to fill the void left by the move of Lake Taylor to Class 3.

KF has been banging on the door for years. Who was it that they surprised a couple of years ago, OS or OL?

Do you know if Churchland is going to have enough coming back to be the top team?

How do you replace, match a Lake Taylor? The below teams won't but this Fall will be interesting to watch. Churchland will be trying to beat Lake Taylor & Maury every year. If they manage to win the Eastern District, look out! Kings Fork & Deep Creek will be battling for #2 in the Southeastern District which is getting tougher. If either get through the fall with just 1 loss, they will likely win the Region!

My Region A list:

Churchland is building a very good tradition of Defense first & an overall tough team.

Deep Creek will be a very similar team. Improved & challenging for #2 in the Southeastern District.

King's Fork 2nd year Coach from Smith, Catholic & OL also very close to the above competitors in their District.

Warwick had a good year & their coach is building a culture that should keep getting better. They could be the surprise in the region. They showed up vs Lake Taylor pretty well in the playoffs this Spring.
