This post is to shed light on how bad and severe the beatings have been at the hands of Richlands when playing Graham over the past decade.

Richlands won its ninth in a row for the series and the win tonight made it 13 of 14. At no time in Graham football history has it lost 13 of 14 times to an opponent and that includes the Bluefield Beavers. Graham had lost 11 of 12 to Bluefield decades ago, but never 13 of 14. This is a first for Graham football.

In the past 14 games in which Richlands has won 13 of those, the average score for these games have been....Richlands 34 and Graham 11 which is an average margin of victory of 23 points.

Richlands was on fire tonight. I wouldnt sleep on Graham this year though. They have good athletes and a strong armed QB.

Richlands came out tonight on a mission and just completely outplayed the Gmen.
I have to say that the Blues were much more physical and the Gmen acted like they wanted no part of that.
Graham has some nice players, but they really need to get more physical if they want to compete with the top tier teams.
John Luke Asbury ( Richlands QB ) played great tonight and is growing as a young QB. Made some beautiful throws and showed a better command of the offense.
Both the Blues O & D lines played a great game with the D completely shutting down the RB from Graham ( Cousins ). You can tell he has some talent, but their O line just couldn't handle the Blues D line and linebackers.
I'm telling ya........this Blues D is a hard hitting bunch.........don't believe me, just ask the Union and Graham kids. !
Congrats to Abingdon on a good win tonight, the game between them and Richlands in a few weeks could be at least as good as the Blues / Union game !
A lot of work to do for both teams between now and then though !
Good luck to the Graham team the rest of the season.
