I listened to this one. Great win for Ridgeview. If Ridgeview doesn't self inflict with all the penalties and turnovers, this game would have been a three td win instead of a two td win for Ridgeview. Also, I don't know if it was wet or what the deal was, but Ridgeviews punt return guy needs to improve. It sounded like Ridgeview bobbled or fumbled EVERY punt Union had. I'm serious. I can't recall ANY Union punt that was cleanly handled by Ridgeview, but Ridgeview had perfect bounces from the fumbled punts that went back into the Ridgeview players hands. This is something that needs fixed because deep in the playoffs, it could be the difference in a nailbitingly close game. I didn't see it, but just by listening, it sounded like Ridgeview dominated on the line, offense, and defense, and I wrote thus earlier, Ridgeview must have a passing game because they exploited Union in the air as well. Sounds like Ridgeview is the clear favorite out west. Union got it to within a TD late, and Ridgeview just goes right down the field and scores, and late in the game, Ridgeview was going in again, but the game ended as Ridgeview was just killing clock on the last drive, but Union still couldn't stop em.
Congrats to Ridgeview. That's the kind of win for a program that puts it on the map statewide and no question, Ridgeview is a 2A legitimate state title contender.
