Actually Greensboro is no where down Interstate 85. 3 hour drive from Richmond with minimal traffic. As long as you’re out of Durham by 4:30 that Friday, it’s like the Isley Brothers say, SMOOTH SAILING

Note if you want to beat the traffic even more you can go 360 West to Danville and hit 29 South. Greensboro is about a 35 minute drive from Danville, no traffic. Still right around a 3 hour drive from Richmond.
