JMU & Liberty, sure. ODU? I know people are optimistic about their new HC, but I’d say that’s premature.
Good catch. As much as I dislike Old Dirty U, they at least have a 5 star player on their team. 😅
Stars don’t mean a lot to me, but 1 more 5 star than Fuente has brought in .
Meanwhile Liberty just signed Khristian Zachary who is one of the top DE’s in the Nation.. LIBERTY beat out Oklahoma, Alabama, and the Georgia Bulldogs for this kid. In the same breath, Virginia Tech gives Fuente another year and another 3-4 years of mediocrity (baring they get rid of him next year and have to rebuild their program after a new hire is selected) . Sad day in Hokie World. I grew up a huge VT Football fan, it’s sad to watch the program go to sh*ts!
I have a feeling that Freeze may be gone. Auburn is one of the top programs in the Nation year in and year out. Rivalry or not, they consistently go toe to toe with the best of the best (Georgia, Bama, LSU).
Freeze signed a contract extension with Liberty through 2026. Not saying that can't be undone if the right offer were to come in, but it looks like he might stay awhile.
Mike Houston signed a 10-year deal with JMU, then promptly left for ECU less than a year later.
Hooker gone, Patterson gone, Herbert gone. This program is a disaster. Cancel your ACC network. Your season tickets could be bleached to use as a shopping list.when Fuente goes after another miserable year, hire a coach from the SEC this time.

The local paper here in Tidewater wrote how Pitt is the hot team not the Virginia schools for this area in recruiting . How things have changed in the last 15 years!! Interesting- Liberty, NC St, UnC in bowl games. But VT passes to keep bowl steak alive and maybe get .500 for season. Cream puffs.
Fuente doesn’t seem into anymore, that was my thinking as well, play to keep streak alive and they had a chance to get to .500 for the season. I understand it’s been a crazy year w/ Covid, but to me, and I may be completely wrong, but this team plays with no emotion, and I think it’s a reflection of the Head Coach.
Beamer would have been a breath of fresh air, they need a SEC Coach to come in
Clemson is the only reason to watch ACC. However it has been nice to have Notre Dame!
