Mathews at Colonial Beach
Lancaster vs Franklin
Essex at Cumberland
King and Queen at Rappahannock
Northampton at Chincoteague
West point vs Northumberland

August 23
Mathews vs Caroline
Essex at Amelia County
King and Queen vs Richmond Christian
Northampton vs Bruton
West point vs Jamestown

Any info for:
Washington and Lee
Middlesex
Charles City

RHS is considered an excellent academic school, so represent it well.

This Friday Essex will be scrimmaging Nelson, George Wythe (R) and Cumberland at Cumberland. Following week I’m hearing Amelia, Surry and Essex at Amelia. So far I’m not hearing about anything with Da Beach.
 
King and Queen vs Richmond Christian has been canceled because Richmond Christian folded their team for the season.

You are correct. I was going by the OP that had Northumberland @ WP. Probably best for WP's small numbers that they didn't scrimmage Jamestown. They can't afford any injuries this early.

I was also under the impression that Northumberland was supposed to scrimmage West Point today.

Poor field conditions? In Tappahannock, it didn’t rain that much. I guess in West Point it was a monsoon.

Last year, West Point cancelled their scrimmage v Northumberland last minute as well for who knows why. And then would not make it up.

Two years in a row. Let’s hope West Point will honor their commitment and reschedule the game this time.

It’s a scrimmage, a glorified practice but an important one. The practice game could be played on a Tuesday or whenever.

They were supposed to scrimmage Jamestown today and then scrimmage @Northumberland next Friday

Especially after some starters are injured already from different sports from what I heard.
 
West Point got a couple inches of rain in about an hour today. I can vouch for that.

Official NOAAH precipitation in WP was 0.50' to 0.75". I live in WP. It was a short-lived deluge. Clear by 5:00 pm. But rain amounts vary widely. I've seen WP with 2" of rain and Shacklefords, just 4 miles away get .25" rain. I was told today that the scrimmage was rescheduled for Monday and the Northumberland scrimmage next Friday was moved to Saturday. Better safe than sorry, nobody wants to get a kid injured in a scrimmage because of a wet field.

No West Point is just really scurred of Northumberland. They’re just trying to weasel out of their commitment. That’s what it is...

King William's JV team looked really good against Lee-Davis.Havent heard how the varsity did.Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think KW and WP are the only Tidewater district teams with JV team's......

I heard KW Varsity outscored L-D Varsity 27-0.

A good majority of that KW JV team is the ones who won 5 straight Metro or E2E championships and made it to nationals in California last year where they went 1-1. They finished their entire youth careers 80-4.

Mathews has potential to be a dangerous team late in the season. They were short handed against Colonial Beach and they are looking forward to playing Caroline this week with a full squad.

Colonial Beach is a scrappy bunch. Toughness inside the trenches will carry them a long way. They are a very well coached team. They scored 4 time I believe.

Surry, taking Essex behind the old woodshed huh? As you like to say ha, I doubt it. I saw both teams play last year....anything could happen but...

Sounds like you must have caught the end of that conversation, while I am just guessing here, but you may have overheard some dudes talking about last year’s Surry basketball team :).

Essextrojan1, cleaning out the old garage today, I found 6 old water bottles -

They had Essex Trojans - the mascot and the year 2009 printed real big on them.

Something cool happened back in 2009....what was that again? Ha -

dang, ten years ago. time flies.

Man!!!! I was thinking about that today and yesterday. I’m trying to figure out a way to post that highlight video on here in honor of the 10 year anniversary.

Were you there ? No info from Essex camp , I was just trying to confirm, I guess I will check Essex out this week for myself
