Junior quarterback Ryan Scott ran for 145 yards and threw for 86 yards, but it was not enough
as the Central Falcons defeated the Skyline Hawks by a score of 34-13 on Friday night at Skyline
High School.

The Falcons started off the scoring on a 5-play drive that started with a 29 yard pass to Alonzo
Charity, followed by four carries by Carston Shockey, including the seven yard touchdown run.
After a Hawks three and out, the Falcons took advantage of a big punt return that set them up
deep in Skyline territory. Four plays later, Shockey ran it in from four yards out to put Central
up 14-0.

Skyline moved the ball on their next possession, with a 15 yard run from Scott as well as a 21
yard run from Quentin Diggs. The Hawks fumbled the possession away at the Falcons 22 and
came away with no points.

The Falcons again used a strong ground game and capped off a drive with a six yard TD run
by Shockey to go up 20-0 with 7:09 left in the 2nd quarter. Shockey was not done however, as
he added a 3 yard run to put Central up 27-0 with :54 seconds remaining in the half.

Skyline did not go gently into the half though, as they came out throwing on the last possession
of the half. A short completion to Diggs, and then an incomplete pass, set up the final
play of the half. Scott scrambled around for several seconds before throwing long to Luis Garcia,
who made the catch and then scurried into the end zone to score as time expired. With the extra point, the Hawks went into the half down 27-7.

In the third quarter, the Hawks cut the lead to 27-13 after an 83 yard run by Scott, followed by
a 4 yard touchdown run by Diggs. The only Falcon touchdown in the 2nd half was a scoop and
score by Zach Abrams after a bobbled snap/exchange by the Hawks.
