First game is the only one they should have any kind of problem with honestly.

After seeing them in a couple 7v7 games I’ll go on record and say Lonnie Andrews to Travis Johnson will be the best connection in the state this season without a doubt. Johnson is a nightmare matchup at 6’3 and Lonnie might be the best QB in the state no matter classification. And this is coming from a Phoebus fan who has one of the top QBs in the state too

They are good fasho. Kaleb Wyche to D1 Carter (Varina) and CJ Scott to Iveon Lewis (Huguenot) has A LOT to say about that.

Yeah im sorry from a non-biased pov those two are not messing with Smith’s combo. I think both of the Varina boys are better on defense. Hard to judge Huguenot too they play such a weak schedule…all those numbers to get goose egged in the playoffs is crazy.

No bias in me. The 757 owns the 804 right now. Maury over Dinwiddie 2x, Smith and Phoebus over Springs and Phoebus manhandled a much more loaded Varina team. Y’all have 4 straight, Smith has 2 in 4 years, Maury has 3 in the last 5, and Lafayette has 1 since COVID. Nothing but respect here. Wyche and D1 had a bad game against yall but I think Scott and Lewis will be insane this year. Both are already 4 stars. You’re right about the goose egg but Scott did split time with a kid who wasn’t elite but worked hard and played because he was a senior. Think the best is yet to come for that duo.

Top talent without chemistry, direction and discipline is pointless. The 6-5 Bethel Bruins scored more points on Phoebus in 2 quarters than Highland Springs, Varina, Sherando, Hampton and Churchland combined over the course of 20 quarters. Typically a senior led team combined with D1 talent can ensure a title but we will have to wait for that game to be played.
