Storybook season continues for both teams. Spotswood, like most of the teams Hopewell has faced in the playoffs-does not have a ton of inside size. They had three early season losses (including a 15-point loss to Meridian who Hopewell beat last night by 11) but they have improved exponentially since then. Their top three scorers are all seniors but otherwise their role players are all super young, and their growth is one of the biggest reasons they have won 20 straight.
Big story to watch-Sprague hurt his ankle against Northside. His health will be key. 20PPG and second leading scorer for the Blazers.
Hopewell’s inside presence will likely be a difference maker here-but last night Cam Pacheco was the best player on the floor and he was going against two time state champ and POY in Harvey. Hopewell has a better supporting cast than Northside, and there is no doubt in my mind these are the best two teams in C3. Going to try to make it to this one in person.
