A 48-7 win over North Stafford JV tonight in a rare Tuesday night game! 5yrs & counting!

I repeat what I've said before, HSHS JV would beat as many as 50% or more of the varsity teams across the state.
DP, We have N. Stafford tomorrow night as a Curtain Closer at Victor Kreiter Stadium. It will be a night of celebration of 80 years of football at that school. HS has played on that field since 1970(I think) . They will start tearing the place apart to make room for the new school and new stadium on Monday !
Any insight on the Wolverines?...and yes... we will be tailgating!

North Stafford has some talent on offense. They run the spread and they are balanced pass/run. The qb can throw it deep and his receivers can go up and get it as they have good size. Dinwiddies young team spotted them a few td's, but once they got going the Wolverines had trouble containing Dinwiddies offense. N. Stafford won 34-29, but Dinwiddies final drive ended on four downs in the red zone. Honestly, I think the Highland Springs defense will be able to contain if not squash the Wolverines running game. They may complete a few passes, but the Springers win by 4 scores. No disrespect to a good N.Stafford team. HSHS is just on a different level.

I have to agree with Navy. NS is well balanced, disciplined, and well coached. No let down can be expected from them, no matter what the situation. But, HSHS is so multi-faceted, and so deep at every position that, as Navy said, they are on a whole different level. I expect a packed house with mostly HSHS fans. That will definitely make a difference. Loud and proud, the fans will make there presence felt.

I also agree that the NS run game will be non affective. They definitely can air it out to a couple of receivers that can go up and get the ball in a crowd. But, with an ineffective run game, the HSHS defense will live in the Wolverines backfield. The QB will find it tough waiting for their receivers to get down field and get position on the defenders.

I think a 3-4 score win is highly likely. Do not get me wrong, I have respect and high praise for NS. Dinwiddie is probably the best 1-2 team in the state. The wolverines played solid ball, and found a way to stop Dinwiddie on a couple of critical series. But, HSHS is five scores better than Dinwiddie right now.

Hey Springer, you better send us some pictures. From the tailgating to the cutting up squares of turf for souvenirs. Navy and I are taking our lovely wives out for diner tomorrow night, so we will need scoring updates from you and from Danny. What game are you covering Danny?

HSHS has scrimmaged NS the past few years,so both these teams are familiar with each other. NS will have to find a way to block HSHS’s front 6! HSHS will need to get out to an early lead to take any hope of an upset out of NS’s mind. Having watched video of both,HSHS has an overwhelming advantage in BOTH trenches. Both teams have good speed in the skill positions, but HSHS has more(depth).

You can catch me on Twitter live from Manchester as they put their 17-game win streak on the line against undefeated Clover Hill. 1st time these two teams have ever met as undefeated teams. BTW... If the Springers win tonight and I do believe they do, they will tie Bird for longest win streak in Richmond Region history.
