Why does VHSL have such a strict reentry policy ? It appears if one leaves stadium they cannot re-enter even if they have a pass or buy another ticket.
It's to prevent people from going into the parking lot and getting drunk, or getting outside food. Makes sense to me.Why does VHSL have such a strict reentry policy ? It appears if one leaves stadium they cannot re-enter even if they have a pass or buy another ticket.
I would assume they think people would leave the first game and give their ticket stub to someone going to the second game, thus saying they are re-entering instead of purchasing a ticketsI totally get the re-entry policy, but is contraband food and alcohol a real issue at games like this? And, who is standing at the gate and can't pick up on this? There should be a police officer or security official monitoring a single re-entry point to take care of issues. Otherwise, arrange with the gate manager why you are going out, and return within the time frame that was established... If you can't meet this simplest expectations for re-entry, you don't get it. Problem solved.
That's a bit harsh. Yeah, it's probably not the best place to do it, but how it's done is a fine line there. As long as NOBODY gets stupid and causes problems, no harm. I wouldn't do it, and I LOVE a cold beer or a good single malt scotch, but I wouldn't begrudge someone if they were acting responsibly. If someone has to drink at a high school game they have a problem. They should check into a rehab facility.
I was at a regular season game at a certain school, and had to go to my vehicle and get some headphones that I had left . Some woman at the gate got all bent out of shape.
This game isn't at a high school. You are allowed to drink in the parking lot. We tailgated most the day last year before the game. Had friends bring the motor home down and had a good ol time
No open container law in Va, it is technically legal. Doesn't mean i would do it but to each his own.
