From what I've been hearing, Botetourt, Blacksburg, and TA have the best shot at the title, who ya got?

I'm sticking with the river ridge, Blacksburg brings it home! Langley, Perkovich, Ellenbogen, Goode, Bekken, and Deutch(sp.?). possibly the strongest 6 man team other than salem

Well, they have beaten Salem three straight matches now, so I don't know if you need the qualification "other than Salem." But I do agree, they have a great chance with Magna Vista and Salem out of the way.

other than salem? last time I checked the supposed undisputed best team in the state won't even be at the state tourney. But i agree, blacksburg has a great chance, watch out for those botetourt boys, 4 seniors including jed rasnick, who could very well walk away with the individual title the way he's been playing. Don't know much about TA but ive heard their legit

yea and salem has beat them in districts the past two years by about 50 and 33, and also has beaten them about 10 straight matches before that so theres your qualification buddy..

Why are you talking about last year's matches? What I meant was that at this point in time, Blacksburg is playing a little better (having won the last three matches). Salem had a slightly better year overall, but instead of improving throughout, they slumped towards the end of the regular season. And where is this 10 straight matches coming from? B'burg beat Salem at least twice last year (the Metro I think and the district tourney). They have also won 2 of the last 3 region titles. I think we can both agree that B'burg/Salem is a pretty good rivalry in golf.

Salem is the third best team in the region, period, there's no way to argue about it, do I need to show you the scores?

yea i agree its a great rivalry, but salem won metro bud. and we won 5 of the 6 reg. season district matches and the heritage so it was 7 straight this year but it would go back to the 2005 district champ. until b'burg won 3 straight.

If you noticed, I said B'burg won the Metro last year, as in '05. As for this year's Metro, Ellenbogen didn't play, as she was out west for the US women's amateur, I believe. So you can count that if you want, but B'burg was missing the RRD player of the year. Also, I don't think B'burg played in the Heritage Invitational this year, but I could be mistaken.

salem was also missing their #3 man, shelor in the metro so i guess you can count that if you want

Jamestown has a shot.

Shot 598 to win Region I by 46 shots. Won all matches to run away with Bay Rivers title. Led by Sam Wallace and Scott Larkin who tied for Region individual title, with Wallace winning playoff.

Jamestown

Wow, you were right, Jamestown's the real deal, that kid chipping in on 18 had people running to the scoreboard to check on Jamestown's scores, they need to go low tomorrow, though
