Changing the name of the school will not change anything but the name . My mother went to Lee and I hate to see the history of the school buried in political ignorance .
Now that the football team is playing well and should win again this week , talk is they are for real . Hope they continue to win , for I can see a show down coming October 20th .
Wonder what the mascot would be if the name was changed ? Any thoughts ?

Erasing history won't fix what happened.

I think if you go around the country and start trying to change every name that might offend someone or a group, you will never get anything else done. Look for example how long the Redskins debate has been going on. In any given situation, you would have a huge amount of paperwork probably, not to mention changing all the logos, merchandising, etc.

So I say leave it alone.
