After seeing Gate City vs. Dobyns-Bennett twice and Wise Central in the Arby's, I sort of favored Gate City to still be the cream of the crop in the Mountain 7 district and it looks like I was correct. They still have to play in Norton (or UVa-Wise) later in the season, so the Warriors may get revenge.
A sleeper team on the girls side may be Marion. Very impressive win by the Scarlet Hurricane blowing out Virginia High by 32 on the Bearcats home court.
