(1A) Chilhowie 15, Marion 1

Shelby Murphy pounded out three hits and scored three times, while Rachael Williams had a triple and double and scored three runs as the Warriors beat the Scarlet Hurricanes.

Georgia Luttrell had a pair of doubles for Chilhowie and Leah Kestner had four RBIs.

Emily Frye was the winning pitcher.

(1A) Rye Cove 10, Lee 0

Hailey Byington allowed just four hits as the Eagles recorded another win.

Haley Tomlinson drove in three runs on two hits for Rye Cove, while Abby Vicars added two hits.

Ridgeview 3, (1A) J.I. Burton 0

Nikole Counts pitched a one-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts as Ridgeview earned a non-district triumph.

Counts added two hits at the plate, a feat matched by Wolfpack teammates Bailey Frazeier and Shae Sutherland. LJ Swiney notched two RBIs for Ridgeview.

Bailey Sturgill had J.I. Burton’s lone hit.

Wise Central 8, (1A) Twin Springs 2

Brook Porter went 3-for-3 with two RBIs as Wise County Central earned a non-district road win.

Haley Mullins also went 3-for-3 for the Warriors, who scored the game’s first eight runs and finished with 14 hits.

Alyssa McCracken had three hits for Twin Springs, which left nine runners on base.

(3A) Abingdon 2, Virginia High 1 (March 26)

Madison Grimsley singled home Cameron Wyatt in the bottom of the seventh inning to lead the Falcons over the Bearcats.

Ashli Linkous struck out 10 for Abingdon.
