heard Auburn dropped Montcalm, WV, and picked up Bath. Good move for them. they needed to drop Roanoke Catholic too, they need more power points. Why in the world would Radford want to play Craig?
Mont Calm actually dropped Auburn. The Roanoke Catholic game neither helps nor hurts Auburn. At the end of the year you divide the games by 9 instead of 10.
Radford and Craig County will be bad. I wonder who Craig dropped to pick that game up? Grace Christian?
Auburn and Bath could be bad too if Bath hasnt improved over last year. They gave up over 40 points in all of their games except for one, a 25-7 loss to East Mont.
I think Parry McCluer picked up Fort Chiswell and Stonewall Jackson of Quicksburg, while dropping Greenbrier East (wish we had kept that one) and Roanoke Catholic (good drop).
playing any public school , win or lose, will get you extra points. RC gets you nothing. Would of liked to see Auburn drop them and pick up somebody like James River or Rural Retreat, or stop playing Bland in a benefit game and get them on regular season.
One thing most folks forget to factor in about private schools is the trickle down effect; say you beat a public school and are hinging on getting rider points from them..but they play a private school or two..well guess what? You lose a chance or two at getting any rider points. I've said it before and I'll say it again, ban publics from playing privates. LCA's antics just strengthen my opinion on it.
Rural Retreat would be a great pick up. However, the Indians have already strengthen their schedule in 2015 by picking up a 2A team in Tazewell and 1A power in Galax. In addition to their Hogo teams on their scheduled plus Fort Chiswell (county rival) and Bland (traditional rival).
