If you read into these posts about the scrimmages you have to look beyond who scores at what time. What was the framework of the scrimmage? What teams were experienced at QB and receiver? Did ou play four downs and get off the field or did you simply play a number of plays on each side of ball? How do the coaches look at a scrimmage setting? When you play in a regular season game there is a time clock and that will play into it? Game film is more readily available. Coaches prepare differently. Young teams will sometimes have their players shuffled around. Injuries can play a role. Luck sometimes plays a role at times. How much improvement will a team make from that first scrimmage until the end of season?
