I tried to figure out a good title for my thought/question.
With school divisions making the call to cancel winter and in some cases fall sports, does anyone think that VHSL will visit the thought of allowing one time transfers to happen? I don't know if stipulations would need to be in place about attending within a certain radius of your "home" school or being a senior what else could be implemented. It just seems harsh for a student athlete to lose a season, potentially two, because of a decision by their school board. Anyone who played high school sports knows that they relive those moments for the rest of their lives. Some of these student athletes have their sights on playing at the next level and need an additional season. To me, these young people are already suffering through this pandemic and sports brings a joy to them and if my division canceled sports, but all of the surrounding ones are still playing, I feel they should have the option to go to a school where they can participate. Thoughts?
