Tough Paths To Salem..B.E.A.U.tiful Picture Emerges

It's would be a good gate...but does salem no good...and i feel confident salem would win at least 80% of the time..lot more to choose from...rags retired after 30 years..but mags never beat him when he was at Glenvar...but it's obvious he is a good coach....has anyone noticed how other divisions are so far apart...I mean you have galax/narz rematch in 1a...blowout just two weeks back...in 2a it's a tight bunch from 3 down....look at how salem killed pulaski...and where they are in the brackets....just really believe the most competitive games are in 2a

Hate to say it but NOBODY from Glenvar beat Giles before last year as you know but that monkey is buried....the system is in place for the long haul....Next year we will be somewhat a rebuilding year but still pretty good...Year after probably back to championship contenders.
I didn't think I would enjoy 2A nearly as much as 3A/4A but got to say I think the games are better/more entertaining and more evenly matched. 3A is overall weak for the size of schools in the division and most of the good 4A teams are east of Richmond. I wish they would go to A AA AAA AAAA. That would solve most of the problems I see.

I know the truth is something football fans sometimes don't see...I think the graham game is a pretty good match up...as far as their competition went...well...Bluefield is down...only list to them by 7 and had a chance...but Bluefield isn't as good this year as years past...Abingdon is also down...they lost to 2 running teams...Giles and galax gashed them up the middle...before the galax/graham game I told a friend of mine and gmen graduate that galax would smack them in the gut all night...if i were James river I would pound the middle...if they can they win...if not they lose....2a is very competitive....a little luck and lack of effort and anyone can fall
Not sure James River has the horses to run up the middle. I didn't see that in our game but we have a big very good line. If they can I agree with you that is Graham's the weak spot. JR is a very good scramble team with a couple of good playmakers. They never quit on any play.

Good Coaches make good adjustments. I believe that Graham's coaching staff has made adjustments to shore up the run defense. It is still a weak area, but an area in which they continue to improve. They have went from horrendous against the run to awful against the run.... Lately, they seem to have improved tremendously in that area, but the competition has been weak....I guess we will see if the defense has really improved tommorrow night.
