I just received confirmation of the following schedule for Tri-Rivers District and Conference 34:

1. Tri-Rivers District
One game district tournament this Friday, February 13
At Southampton

Boys at 8:00 pm - Brunswick v. Greensville (Winner gets bye in opening round of conference)

2. Conference 34
First-round game changed to this Monday, February 16 to avoid snow on Tuesday
All conference teams play in first round except top seed (bye)
Games at site of highest seed
TR #2 (Brunswick-Greensville loser) will host Nottoway on Monday
Semi's on Thursday and finals on Friday (to determine seeding for regionals)
Both girls and boys will play Friday at site of top boy's seed (next year, site of top girls seed)
Conference 34 is NOT using points to seed

3. 2A East Region
Top four seeds from each conference advance to play teams from other conferences in regional tourney (Schedule is posted on VHSL site)
Tuesday, Feb 24 Round of 16 at highest seed
Thursday, Feb 26 quarterfinals at highest seed
Saturday, Feb 28 semis at Hanover (4 games - boys and girls)
Tuesday, March 3 regional finals at Orange (boys and girls)

4. 2A State Semis at VCU (no more use of supersites - all state semi and final games at VCU)

Hope I got all of this correct.

On what basis would Brunswick be the top seed, assuming they defeat Greensville over Prince Edward? (And Assuming Prince Edward wins it's district tournament)?

I was told that district winning percentage was the first criteria for seeding, assuming both were regular season and tournament champions. Doesn't PE have two district losses? Brunswick and Greensville at 15-1 with the winner Friday going to 16-1 would have a higher winning percentage. Just going by what I was told by someone supposedly "in the know."

Things have all been sorted out.

With a PE win, and:

Brunswick win, PE is #1 and gets the bye and Brunswick is #2 and host Goochland on Monday at 7.

Greensville win, then they are #1 seed and PE is #2 and will host Goochland on Monday at 7.
