Trojans looking better and better and imo, is ahead of the curve. Most HS teams don’t hit their stride until after Christmas and Rogers like I said previously is BIG TIME. Don’t see that kind of talent in Southside everyday. They have 2 very big games this week against Bassett and MV. The Piedmont is the best it’s been in 15 years.
Tunstall is by far the best team in the Piedmont so if that makes the district the best it's been in 15 years, so be it. Patrick Co is not good( was down 61-17 at the end of the 3rd against Mavahi last night), Bassett and MV are rebuilding, GW is obviously a work in progress, Halifax is not as good as usual and the Dogs are decent but no world beaters. So Tunstall is the obvious choice for Champs this year. What's it been like 20 years since they had a squad as dominant as this one? Just hope they don't embarrass the Dogs when we play.
Martinsville, Tunstall, Bassett, MV, Halifax and GW all competitive. Won’t be any pushovers come district/region time.
They will be competitive with each other, not with Tunstall. I just don't see any district team beating the Trojans this year
Martinsville has alot of tradition, means something to the boys with that name on the front of that jersey. They'll play hard but they are no where as talented as Tunstall
I saw the games. I've also seen 13 of the 15 state championship teams play. This team has some talented pieces but they are far from legit.
I thought so but judging by that 63-20 GW win tonight over MV, I doubt neither Bassett or MV will make any noise.
Martinsville's game against DR tonite was postponed for Covid. The Dogs play at GW Thurs so you will find out then if anybody has anything for the Trojans.
GW 58 Martinsville 55. No comp from either one of these teams for Tunstall. With the Trojans beating people 97-18 they seem to be on a mission to not only beat people this year, but also to thoroughly embarrass teams.
After seeing PC play Martinsville, Tunstall will beat the Cougars by 100 if they press the while game. Trojans coach said after the Bassett game that pressure D and the press was the Trojans identity. If they don't back off PC they may win 110 to 10.
Tunstall /GW / Martinsville only teams competing past districts this year everyone else will be happy just to play a regional game
