Re: Today's paper
Congrats to a very very very great coach, educator, and an even better person. I had the pleasure of playing for Coach Potts for two years on JV back in '08 and '09 and we won two district championships, beat the core members of Gretna's 2011 state championship team (Tony Miller and company) back in '09, and went 8-0 over the course of 2 seasons in the Piedmont District. Potts is a student of the game and him and Mrs. Potts have been VERY LOYAL to the program. If he can get 2 or 3 athletes to get the ball to out there in Dry Fork, his team can beat anyone on any given night. The defense will continue to be good as he will not only be the head coach but the defensive coordinator as well. Tunstall is slowly but surely destined for some HUGE things once he puts his stamp on the program which is already there but will still maybe take a few years for them to be where they want in state relevancy. We love Coach Potts and as a former student, player, and Tunstall Alum, I'm very happy to see something this big happen to the community.
