Two questions

[Hampton Roads 6]

1. defensive play smacks at ball near mid court line. he knocks it away from the offensive player dribbling ball. ball goes into backcourt, offensive player takes one step into backcourt and picks up ball. What's the call, if any ?


2. Player grabs a rebound. while still off floor he gets hit and is knocked to where he lands OB when he makes contact with floor. what's the call ? foul or OB

If the ball touches the BC, the offensive player can retrieve the ball.

If he takes one step into the BC and catches the ball before it touches the BC, it's a BC violation.

That's no 100% answer to this question. Not all contact is a foul. Without seeing the play, there's no way to really answer the question.
