STEPHENS CITY — Sherando (5-8) outscored Spotswood (12-4) 23-9 in the third quarter and went on to a 70-63 boys’ basketball victory on Wednesday night.
The Warriors took a 53-35 lead as a result of their third-quarter performance. Sherando trailed 16-13 after one quarter and led 30-26 at halftime.
Sherando knocked down eight 3-pointers to help offset Spotswood’s 10 3-pointers, including eight from the Trailblazers’ Kaleb Strawderman (28 points).
The Warriors were led by George Gibson (17 points), Tad Dean (16 points), Aaron Banks (11 points) and Michael Perry (11 points).
