WC was up by 10 late in the 3rd, and Cumberland came back to take the lead. But WC weathered the storm and finished strong

Quite possibly. But WC plays in a very tough district with some very good class 2 teams in Gretna, Nelson Co, and Dan River, plus Altavista, among others. Sometimes you have to look past the records and realize that your opponent is battle tested. That's the same thing I've been preaching for weeks about Franklin. Don't look at their average record, but actually look at the level of opponents they've played.

Dogwood has been crazy this year! Most teams having elite height (6’6”-6’7”). I’d argue Gretna, Nelson, or Dan River could win region 2C. Add into that Altavista (always dangerous) a competitive Appomattox and then Chatham has one of the best players in the area in Amare Word. Dogwood competition was elite this year and now either Alta or WC will punch a state tournament ticket despite a losing regular season.
