There were two spots open on the Virginiapreps Private All-Underclassman team with both Ricky DeBerry and Ryan Etheridge making the Private All-State team. Michael Biesemier was selected the Old Dominion Football Conference Defensive Player of the Year after lading Virginia Episcopal to the D3 State championship. Biesemier (6-foot-4, 235) finished with 11 sacks, two forced fumbles, and 36 solo tackles as a defensive end.

Norfolk Christian tackle Donovan Lynch demanded the double team and was very physical on both sides of ball. Lynch (6-foot-4, 290) showed good quickness and athleticism for a big man and he finished the season with 72 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, and three sacks.

Benedictine sophomore Clelin Ferrell (6-foot-4, 210) provides strong pass-rushing presence from the outside as he finished an outstanding sophomore year with 47 tackles with at least half of those resulting in loss yardage. Ferrell added 11 sacks and he batted down three passes.

Greg Washington made All-TCIS on both sides of the football for Norfolk Academy. He reminds me of Dwight Freeney and he finished the season with 60 tackles (27 Solo), 21 tackles for loss including 10 sacks. Washington (6-foot-3, 205) is ultra quick off the snap and is stronger than he looks. He he explodes to the football. He is a true pass rusher and will be one of the top returning players in the Hampton Roads area.
