Kempsville spotted Monacan a three then coasted to a 80-41 win in the final contest of the Vapreps basketball Classic Session 1. Every player scored a point for Kempsville including three in double figures. Jayon Griffin led with 13 points while Emmanuel Angila and Savon Sandifer each scored 11 points.
Sandifor added six rebounds and five assists to earn MVP honors.
Kempsville led by 10 after the 1st quarter and 16 at halftime. Their 20 steals and up-tempo pace was to much for a short-handed Monacan to keep up with.
Walker Lloyd led Monacan with 16 points and seven rebounds. Sophomore Tai Bowler showed some athleticism scoring10 points with five rebounds, four assists, three steals and a great block.
