Lukas Parks drained a three from the top of the key with two seconds remaining to send Gainesville to a 52-50 win over Cape Henry in one of the most competitive games of the Vapreps Basketball Classic'
Neither team led by more than six points the entire game and the contest featured 11 ties and 11 lead changes.
Parks makes two free throws with a little over a minute to go to break a 47-47 tie. Cape Henry regained the lead on a 3-pointer by senior Chase Proto 50-49 with 21 seconds.
Needing only a field goal, Trevor Moody appeared to look for space to drive but dished off to a wide open Parks who confidently converted the winning 3-pointer.
Moody was selected game MVP scoring 16 points, with four rebounds and two assists including the game-winning assist. Parks added nine points including making his only 3-point basket in five attempts. Preston White contributed 11 points and eight rebounds.
Malcolm Brown led Cape Henry with 15 points and 10 rebounds. A.J Sweeney finished with 12 points and 8 rebounds.
