Virginia Cardinals Tryouts

The Virginia Cardinals will hold tryouts August 4, 5 and 6 for their teams for the 2018, 2017 and 2016 classes, respectively. That is, rising freshmen will be evaluated on Monday, rising sophomores on Tuesday, and rising juniors on Wednesday.

You must pre-register to participate; walk-ups will not be accommodated at the tryout due to the need for prior planning of each day's events.

multiple sports?

There is no "general view." Some can pull it off, some cannot.

But the Cardinals are a program for college recruitment. Irrespective of whether or not someone plays other sports or has other non-baseball activities, the team expectation is that baseball comes first among all extra-curriculars.
