The weather moved up several games so instead of covering one game I decided to attend three games to get some photos for the Rivals recruit profiles
Lafayette 51 Colonial Heights 20
Watched the 1st quarter with Lafayette leading 14-0. The Rams took the opening kickoff and ended a long scoring drive with a Demarcus Lawrence rushing touchdown. The next time the Rams got the ball Navy commit Jaylen Pretlow made a great catch off a throw from quarterback Hayden Olesky for a touchdown. Pretlow finished with three touchdowns.
Churchland 49 Heritage 20
Sophomore Ky’nique Baines returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown and the Truckers coasted to a 20-0 1st quarter lead before I left. Senior DE Tyler Edwards had a 1st quarter sack that stalled a Heritage drive. Truckers quarterback Brandyn Hillman and running back Leon Clark have multiple Power 5 offers and both showcased their talent on the two drives from scrimmage in the 1st quarter,
Kecoughtan 7 Norview 0
The final game of the night was the second game of the day Darling Stadium with an 8PM kickoff. The Kecoughtan Warriors pitched a shutout with Duke commit David Anderson leading the way. Similar to both Lafayette and Churchland, Kecoughtan also scored the first time they had the football with a short touchdown run by senior Kamron Jackson. It turns out that was the only score of the game in what would be a defensive struggle. You can watch all the plays on the Hampton Media Network Youtube site.
