0-1 Middlesex at 1-0 Rappahannock (last week, Middlesex took W&L to OT, Rapp slaughtered 2A Nandua)

This game will be held Thursday night.

1-0 Northampton at 1-0 Northumberland

(Battle for the North for my fellow Game of Thrones fans out there- best freaking show ever)

0-1 Essex at 0-0 Franklin (interesting one here at the Armory, a must win for Essex I would think)

0-0 Lancaster at 1-0 Sussex Central (tough one to start with for LHS)

1-0 Washington and Lee at 0-1 Mathews (Joe Taylor's boys may be looking at a 2-0 start)

1-0 Charles City at 1-0 3A Southampton (interesting to see how CC does here)

Fredericksburg Christian at 0-1 K&Q

0-0 West Point at 0-1 Rappahannock County (beautiful trip out to the Mountains for WP)

0-1 2A Nandua at 0-1 Windsor

Open - Colonial Beach, Surry (they may want to use this time to confirm some referees)

Some interesting games this week. What is the Far East Game of the Week? Comments? Please fix any errors.

I think from a score standpoint, the two closet will be msex-rapp and essex-franklin

@Twobyfour Southampton is 0-1. Lost to Poquoson.

Thanks Dre, when I scanned the Scoreboard section I thought I saw Southampton in the win column. Must have been a private school.

Also, the W&L v Mathews game may be on Thursday night. Along with Bruton at King William - both 2A.

Lots of snoozers on this list. Northumberland, West Point, W&L, and Sussex should cruise.
Two of the most interesting are Rapp/Middlesex and Essex/Franklin have my interest.
A much improved Rapp who had an impressive showing on the shore last week and a Charger team who went toe to toe with the Eagles in Montross. This contest should tell a lot about both teams and may be the best game in the Region.
I expect Essex to cure the turnover bug and right the ship against Franklin. I haven't heard much about the Broncos this year. They always play tough-especially at the Armory. You know what you get with them-a solid defense and an efficent run game, but I'm sure the Trojans are anxious to get that bad taste out of their mouths from their opening loss.
