West Springfield @ Lake Braddock or Westfield @ Centreville

Both games should be interesting to watch. West Springfield has been up and down; Lake Braddock has shown an ability to put up a lot of points against weaker defenses. If Muskett is on for WS then they might keep it close, but I think LB will prevail by 10-14 points at least, in a game that reaches the 30's or higher. If Muskett does not play well WS will get blown out.

Westfield-Centreville is somewhat intriguing. I know more about these teams. It is going to come down to this: the Centreville defense is not that good and if the Westfield offense is clicking (which has certainly been anything but a given this year) this one could be over early. Centreville has shown a decent ability to move the ball offensively, but mistakes have been costly for them. The CV offense has to go against the best defense in the area, and I don't think they will have enough to overcome the WF defense. I think Westfield wins this one by at least 3 TDs if the WF offense is on track, maybe less if they stutter like they did last week against Robinson.

My 2 cents, which may be overvalued.
Lake Braddock vs West Springfield.

Centreville is just down, and is in danger of not making the playoffs.
WS has been up and down, and if they are UP then this could be a great game.
I think Westfield just wears out Centreville.

Also Centreville vs Chantilly is the following week, which stacks up as a potential elimination game of sorts.

Both venues should have Good turnouts. I think the lake Braddock will be better to watch. Cville is down this year as everyone has pointed out. But the teams they lost to except for Oakton are very good. Oakton is decent. I think Westfield should win easily. I still think Cville makes the playoffs due to their schedule. All but fairfax and Herndon will should have winning records.

West Springfield @ Lake Braddock
West Springfield (4-2) rating 83.9, 194 PF, 140 PA
Lake Braddock (6-0) rating 100.8, 220 PF, 54 PA

Lake Braddock has the best 6A defense in Northern Virginia with 54 PA, probably third in Virginia (Oscar Smith has 17 PA and Ocean Lakes has 32 PA). West Springfield's offense will have to find ways to score against Lake Braddock's defense if WS wants to win the game.

Westfield @ Centreville
Westfield (5-1) rating 98.9, 172 PF, 56 PA
Centreville (2-4) rating 76.0, 149 PF, 189 PA

Centreville's big problem is its defense which has given up 189 points this season, more than what its offense is scoring. 8 of the 27 6A North teams are giving up more points than Centreville, so Centreville defense ranks 19th among 27 6A North teams. Against Westfield, Centreville will be playing against one of the top 6A defenses in Virginia. Westfield offense will have to get its act together and establish a running game if they want to beat Centreville. Westfield had a dismal offense night against Robinson last week, gaining only 50 yards on ground and scoring no TD. Robinson (4-2) is rated 88.4, 191 PF, and 107 PA. On paper, it doesn't look like Centreville has any chance of beating Westfield, but who knows, the rivalry between Centreville and Westfield may make things more exciting and close.

Thanks guys. I think we'll probably be going to Lake Braddock on Friday. Between playoff games and preseason scrimmages I've been to Centreville about seven or eight different times the last two years. I don't even think I made it out to any other of the north schools around that way in the same time frame because Centreville just kept dominating in the playoffs and they always had home field. Fun team to watch but I remember by the end of the 2014 playoffs a little change of scenery would have been nice! Between that and the fact that they are down this year it sounds like Lake Braddock and West Springfield would be better to see, I just want to see some points scored.
