Westfield took the KO to start the game and after failing to cleanly field a bouncing kick and a penalty on the play, started deep in their own half at the 9 yard line where they went three and out. A short punt gave WL great field position at the WF 20 yard line, but after failing to move the ball WL attempted a 23 yard FG by Ceballos-Medina. The kick was blocked by WF's Thomas and then picked up by WF's Anderson and returned 70 yards for the game's first score. WF was up after Mattfeld's XP, 7-0, with 6:39 to play in the first quarter. WL then ran three plays and lined up to punt, but a strong WF punt rush resulted in a roughing penalty and WL had a new first down. They promptly fumbled and WF's Bendorf recovered on the WL 44 yard line. WF moved to the WL 22 yard line but faced a 4th and two play that failed, turning the ball back over to WL. WL moved to their 40 where they punted the ball back to WF on the WF 39 yard line. After a 33 yard run by Jenks to the 6 yard line, WF's Wetsel scored on a 6 yard run to extend the lead to 13-0 (Mattfeld XP missed) with 10:04 remaining in the half. WL then went three and out again, and on WF's next drive WF's Jenks found St Germain with an isolated defender on the left side for a 53 yard TD pass to extend the lead to 20-0 (Mattfeld XP) with 6:24 to go in the half. WF's Hussein then forced a WL fumble that WF recovered on the WL 18 yard line, but after losing yards WF punted from the WL 32 yard line. The punt went almost straight up and then bounced back, where it was fielded behind most of the players downfield by WL's Myers who was only prevented from scoring by an alert WF defender who quickly tackled him. WL would later attempt to convert a 4th and 9 at the WF 46 yard line after running three plays on the drive but the pass came up short. WF then ran out the clock to go to halftime.

WL received the second half KO and went three and out, followed by WF returning the favor with another short punt to give WL great field position on the WF 27 yard line. WL failed to move the ball and decided to go for it on 4th and 13 at the WF 30 yard line but the attempt failed. WF took over at the their own 30 yard line and reached midfield where they faced 4th and 2. Jenks was able to find Weber for a 40 yard gain to the WL 10 yard line, but after three unsuccessful plays WF's Mattfeld kicked a 29 yard FG to extend the lead to 23-0 with 2:14 to play in the third quarter. WL again went three and out. The WL punt was fielded by WF's Anderson and returned 25 yards to the WL 25 yard line to give WF great field position again. WF took advantage when Jenks found Obango on a 18 yard pass to score, extending the WF lead to 30-0 (Mattfeld XP) with 10:52 remaining in the game. WL then punted, followed by a failed WF 4th and 1 at the WL 29 yard line that came up inches short. WF then forced WL's Sovula to fumble on the WL 38 yard line and WF's Monaghan recovered but another WF 4th down attempt failed deep in WL territory and WL then ran out the clock to end the game.
