Westfield scored on their first four drives and cruised to a 42-6 win. Oakton's offense managed to gain some yards but they could not sustain drives and other than a single scoring drive just before the half were unable to penetrate deep into Westfield's half of the field.
OAK started the game on their own 20 yard line and on the first play of the game QB Martin found R. Henriques down the visitor's sideline for a 31 yard pass to near midfield. There OAK stalled and punted the ball to WF, who took over on their own 35 yard line. WF drove to the OAK 31 yard line where they faced a 4th and one, but a 30 yard run by H. Johnson gave WF a first and goal at the one. WF's Carlson then took it in from a yard out to open the scoring, 7-0 WF (Wiemann XP) with 4:21 remaining in the first quarter. OAK's R. Henriques had another big play on the next OAK possession, a 32 yard run to the WF 43 yard line, but the OAK offense stalled again and they again punted. WF then put together a 72 yard drive and scored on a 43 yard Carlson to Morin pass to extend the lead to 14-0 (Wiemann XP) with 10:06 remaining in the first half. OAK's next possession was a three and out deep inside OAK territory and a short punt gave WF the ball on the OAK 36 yard line. WF quickly scored again, on another Carlson one yard run, and the lead grew to 21-0 (Wiemann XP) with 5:39 remaining in the second quarter. OAK started their next possession after the KO with more bad field position at their own 11 yard line. On this drive, OAK's R. Henriques fumbled and WF's Coffield recovered on the OAK 11 yard line. Twenty eight seconds later WF scored again when Lee ran it in from 5 yards out and the lead was now 28-0 (Wiemann XP) with 5:06 remaining in the half. OAK's next possession began at their own 34 yard line and they began to move the ball downfield, helped by WF jumping off sides on a 4th and two at the WF 47 yard line. After reaching the WF 13 yard line, a penalty and a sack for a loss of eight yards pushed OAK back to outside the red zone, but Martin still found C. Henriques in the back corner of the end zone for a 21 yard passing TD to cut the lead to 28-6 (WF's Morin blocked Tapp's XP) with 25 seconds left in the half. WF's Rennyson then took the KO back 80 yards for what appeared to be a TD but a holding call negated the score. WF still attempted to score again before the half ended, but Carlson's long pass was intercepted by OAK's Seymour at the OAK 29 yard line and the half ended.
WF started the second half with a 64 yard scoring drive capped by Carlson's four yard passing TD to H. Thompson to push the lead to 35-6 (Wiemann XP) with 6:31 to play in the third quarter. After another OAK start deep in their own territory, three plays netted eight yards and OAK lined up to punt. The shanked punt went out of bounds and gave WF the ball on the OAK 25 yard line. This time OAK's Tapp again stopped WF with an INT of WF's Carlson, this one at the WF two yard line. OAK gained a few yards to get away from their goal line before a high snap sailed over QB Martin's head and WF's Payne recovered it for a defensive score on the first play of the fourth quarter. With the score now 42-6 (Wiemann XP) OAK began a long methodical drive, mostly on the ground, and managed to convert two fourth downs along the way - a 4th and two at the OAK 44 yard line (R. Henriques three yard run) and a 4th and four at the WF 36 yard line (Martin to Vasquez 7 yard pass) before time ran out and the game ended with OAK just outside the red zone.
