The Westfield defense was in fine form this evening, limiting Washington-Lee to just two first downs in the first three quarters of play and probably under 100 yards of total offense for the game. The W-L quarterback fumbled on the first play of the game and WF's Damoney recovered on the W-L 15 yard line. WF promptly scored on their first offensive play with a 15 yard Johnson to Frimpong pass to go up 7-0 just 23 seconds into the game. The WF defense would go on to recover another fumble deep in W-L territory and also add two interceptions by McClain, one a 22 yard pick six, in the first half. The offense benefited from great field position on every possession in the first half with the worst starting field position being at the WF 43 yard line. The offense would go on to score three more touchdowns in the first half, one on a Johnson 1 yard run, one a Chung 6 yard run, and one a 32 yard Johnson to Eckert pass play to go into the half leading 35-0. Chung added a 65 yard run just minutes into the 3rd quarter and Delaney added a 46 yard FG early in the 4th quarter to make the final score 45-0.
