While I can't recall the travel/time limit that would result in a game being played on a Saturday, I feel at least most first rounders will go on Friday unless you talking the SWVA teams that like to play their playoff games on Saturdays. In the East last year, Altavista traveled to Warsaw on a Friday and Colonial Beach went to Naruna on a Friday.

Used to be either 3 or 3.5 hours travel = Sat. game, but Grundy refused to adhere to that and went to Appo on a Fri. a few years back, so they may have rescinded it. Nothing official, but generally visiting team picks and home team says okay, we can do that (unless there is a stadium conflict, like Tidewater, Roanoke or Bluefield)
