30-0 enough said. Appo gotta get nod even though i think they are more vulnerable this year to lose to a 3a and above team in comparison to previous 2 years. Its gonna take a very good 2a team to get the win this year. I can see DR putting up a good fight.
Yea only game I see yall having trouble with this year is heritage. Every other game u guys shouldn't have any problem.
I live in Hampton, VA now (moved 4 months ago). Im going to miss them LIVE ACTION packing the Bragg to capacity with my PO1 brethren. Doug and them coaches have built a solid program. Shame on Heritage for ever letting Smith go. Now they put us on the schedule and we have smacked em in the mouth two years straight. Nothing against the kids, but i know its a bittersweet feeling for Coach Smith to beat a team that fired him. This is more aimed at the administration, not the kids on team. Im not saying that it will happen this year though. Heritage gonna be strong! That RB is a BEAST! This will be the first year of another 2 year agreement.
I'm putting Appomattox in the #1 spot. Graves and company will be tough again. Coach Smith and his staff are smart and a class act. They host Heritage and the Power of One will be in full force in Appomattox. The Appomattox administration might need a "Brinks truck" to put the gate receipts in that night. Regular season "Game of the Year" candidate !

speaking of Gooch, who is the QB that is at Richmond U? Is that the QB that started in the playoff game last year vs appo. He was a big white kid.
The QB at Richmond is Reid Chenault and he played his last year in 2015/2016 school year. Reid broke some records in the passing game at Goochland and he is a natural passer and leader. The QB from last year was Tanner Bradshaw and he is about the same height but weighed in the 240+ range. 3rd and 4th down short yardage plays were very predictable in both the play calling and the results...
yeah but losing to Heritage and not getting points for FUMA, might hurt them to get a solid playoff spot.
Correct, they're not getting points from playing FUMA, but also not losing points.....Just dividing by 9......could help, could hurt.....just have to see how it plays out. Lose to Heritage and it shouldn't hurt too bad in points since Heritage should be pretty good this season and will get the rider/bonus points for their wins.
After watching Appo tonight against a very good LCA team I think the offense will score a lot but do see some holes in the defense that will need to be filled , could be a difficult game against a big line and a good running back as seen tonight ! But for 2a schedule they should be fine so I have them at the top to start the season ! It will be a great year a lot of teams should be good and not far apart !!
Hr6 they looked ok , big line , big back , good running game but did not see them throwing the ball much , they do not have a lot of numbers maybe 25 or so , they play GW next week so will find out early about them .
most teams that not throw ball not be playing come late November and early December.
Just for fun, doesn't mean much at this point. Appo gotta be #1 with Poq, Richlands, Graham, Union, Giles, DR, Glenvar, in top eight.

7 of the top 8 in the state from regions C & D? I love the west, but leaving out Goochland (my pick to win it all) is criminal.
LOL..Didn't know it could get criminal being ignorant, which I am on east teams. What makes them so strong this year? Did they go deep in the playoffs last year?
Was just going by memory off the top of my head and personal preferences since it was just for fun.

Criminal may be a step too far (blame the meds I'm on for this hellacious ear infection).
Goochland went to the semis last year, lost to Appo in a decently close game, and returns just about everyone, from what I've seen.
To be the man you got to beat the man...not play them close

I never said Appo isn't number 1. I simply said leaving Goochland off of the top 8 was something I didn't agree with, necessarily. I agree Appo is number 1 until proven otherwise.
