Woodgrove HC

Wow, that's crazy. You'd think you'd see news of him getting another head job or there would be news that he stepped down.

Can the school district Jefferson Forrest is in match the teacher's salary of Loudoun County?
The school district itself can't but JF has a different community than the rest of Central Va. The median income in Forest is more in line with NoVa than Central Va. So, there are other ways to compensate a football coach at JF besides school board salary.

Indeed it is. Tom Potter have the skinny??
2018-2019 Woodgrove Head Coach Mike Skinner is retiring from the Public Education profession after at least 40 years teaching. Coach Skinner is an amazing physical education / weight training teacher who built up our fairly new School's weight room very quickly thru shrewd purchases of used and donated equipment!

Coach Skinner is taking a break next year, from coaching entirely, I believe but might try to help out down the road?

AD Lowery is fielding many applications for the Head Coaching vacancy.

Thank you Coach Skinner for all you have done for Woodgrove Football and putting us on the map!

Coach Skinner's son, Andy, our Offensive Coordinator, is also leaving coaching next year to concentrate on raising his young family.

Coach Skinner was confident that the rest of our coaching staff from this year will hopefully be returning next year during our end of the season banquet at the end of January.

Many thanx to the entire Coaching staff for this year's phenomenal Championship season! These Coaches spent a ton of time away from their families to win this Championship!
There is a possibility one of the existing assistant coaches gets promoted from within however AD Lowery is taking all applications seriously and he & Principal Shipp will be selecting the best new Head Coach candidate to lead Woodgrove into Class 5 next year.

LETS ROLL INTO CLASS 5 NEXT YEAR WOLVERINES!
