Re: Get games out of Richmond
What makes the Seigel Center a "dump" HR6?? now, if you were to call the Scope in Norfolk that, I would agree or even Cassel at Va Tech..someone suggested 3 different sites...now, that is almost insanity to me...and I love watching a good girls game as much as a good boys game...if you are going to have different sites, it makes more sense to play 5 & 6A at JPJ for the simple reason it is large enough to handle the larger schools/crowds...however, how many times has it been said on here...the people that run JPJ will not even talk to the VHSL and until they do, it's a mute point, so why keep bringing it up...most of you have probably only attended a few state tournaments...therefore, do you really think you know where the best venue would be? it should be kept as a central location statewide as possible, which would be either one of three locations..Richmond, Lynchburg, Charlottesville...Charlottesville would be the ideal location..but, at this point that's a dream...and it is easier to get out of Seigel on a large crowd day/night then it is the Vines...personally, the concessions at the Vines Center is just slightly better then it is at JMU and JMU is pitiful..unless the Vines concessions have improved in last few yrs..and you also have to consider the concessions...also, I know VHSL used to put the tournaments out on bids..not sure if they still do this or not...but does the Vine have more accessible parking then the Seigel...I would like for someone other then HR6 to say, cause we all know his love affair for Mr. Falwell's facility
